deHop is a unique project that started 2 years ago in a small bar in Amsterdam. In short a producer/beatmaker, a mc and a graphic artist come together to create a 12inch record in front of a live audience. The producer chops a beat, the mc writes his rhymes and a graphic designer creates a sleeve, all on the spot! We build a mini-recordingstudio and choose an original mix of artists everytime to team up at special one-off locations . From a nighttheatre in the Redlight District to an old Seafood Restaurant by the beach. From the UFO-lookalike Evoluon building in Eindhoven, to the topfloor of the Rotterdam Tradecenter.

This way deHop stays a unique event everytime. After 4 weeks people can pick up their limited edtion 12inch at a local store.This year we gonna change things up a little bit: Where before we invited US producers like Evil Dee, Lord Finesse, Waajeed and OhNo to work with Dutch mc's, now it's time for the big switch! Talented Dutch producers now get the chance to work with America's top-mc's. Starting off with no other than Ghostface Killah! You know it don't stop, you gotta come back and do deHop!
